Description

The GE IS215VPROH2BC is a 16-channel voltage input module for GE’s Mark VIe turbine control platform. Designed for precise measurement of generator/stator voltages (0–300V AC), it provides RMS/phasor data to the turbine controller (/) via VME backplane. Features galvanic isolation, harmonic analysis (up to 63rd order), and dual-range autoranging (20V/300V full-scale).

⚠️ Critical Integration Notes:

  • PT Connections: Use twisted/shielded pairs (AWG 18 min) – shield grounded ONLY at cabinet.
  • Range Selection: Configure via VPRO_SW ToolboxST™ parameter – incorrect setting damages ADC.
  • Grounding: Module chassis MUST bond to star ground – noise >2% FS if floating.
  • Firmware Dependency: Requires Mark VIe controller ≥R196 or VPHD faults occur.
  • Slot Restrictions: Install ONLY in VME slots 2–5 of carrier (slots 1/6 disable channels).
  • Harmonic Setup: Enable HARM_OPT=1 in configuration – defaults to RMS-only mode.
  • Replacement Procedure: Power down ENTIRE carrier – hot-swap corrupts VME arbitration.
