The HIMA F8628X is a dedicated communication module tailored for safety instrumented systems (SIS), complying with IEC 61511 and IEC 62443 standards and holding IEC 61511 SIL 2/3 certifications. It adopts the proprietary SafeEthernet to enable secure and redundant communication, and supports multiple industrial protocols like Modbus TCP, IEC 61850 and OPC UA, along with Ethernet programming via Elop II. Equipped with a 10/100 Mbps RJ45 interface, a dedicated safety CPU and a specialized operating system, it achieves full isolation from basic process control systems (BPCS) to avoid common – cause failures, ensuring reliable data exchange with H41q and H51q series controllers. With a 3HU×4WU compact size, IP20 protection rating and an operating temperature range of -25°C to 55°C, it fits seamlessly into HIMA Planar‑System chassis for indoor cabinet installation. It is widely used in petrochemicals, power generation and metallurgy industries for safety – critical communication tasks.
