The HIMA LM002_MAX 985020002 is a core framework module for HIMA’s safety instrumented systems (SIS), built to meet SIL 3 safety integrity level requirements in line with the IEC 61511 standard. As a foundational hardware platform, it offers slots for inserting functional cards such as I/O modules, processing cards and redundant power supplies, and integrates dual – redundant CPUs, dual – redundant power supplies and dual – channel communication buses to avoid system breakdown caused by single – point faults. It supports multiple industrial protocols including PROFIBUS, PROFINET and Modbus TCP, enabling seamless connection with various field devices and upper – level control systems. With an IP20 protection rating and an operating temperature range of -25°C to +55°C, it is suitable for cabinet – mounted installation in harsh industrial settings. Equipped with full – time self – diagnostic functions, it can promptly alert faults on the HMI or SCADA system, which is widely used in high – risk fields like petrochemicals, power and metallurgy to underpin the stable operation of critical safety protection systems such as emergency shutdown.
