HIMA Z7116 is a high-reliability modular safety controller (also known as Z7116/3221, with 3221 as the internal part number) compliant with IEC 61508 SIL 3 standards. Powered by 24V DC, it adopts a compact DIN rail-mounted structure with an IP20 protection rating and operates stably within a temperature range of -20°C to 60°C. It supports multiple communication interfaces including Ethernet, RS – 485, and RS – 232, and some models are compatible with Modbus RTU, enabling seamless integration with upper-level systems. Boasting a processing capacity of up to 100,000 safety instructions per second and an MTBF of over 100 years, it also features redundant configuration, built-in self-diagnostic functions, and dual hardware and software protection to ensure reliable operation. Programmable via IEC 61131 – 3 and other languages, it is widely used in emergency shutdown and process safety control in high-risk industries such as petrochemicals, metallurgy, and power generation, and supports hot-swapping for convenient on-site debugging and maintenance.
